Anti Nobunaga became High and Mighty Color when Maakii joined the group became Anti Nobunaga again when she got married then pregnant leaving the group to become Anti Nobunaga again has finally found a new female singer, Halca (Haruka), from Okinawa.

Puss n Foot

Never try to break up a cat fight. Our 2 oldest cats, Taro and Chilly were fighting. I just casually moved my foot between them to separate them from each other. This has always worked in the past, until today. Taro latched on to my foot with both claws and proceeded to take a huge bite out of my foot. I will say that if I had a little more room to move around I would have dropped kick Taro across the house. But the way he had his fangs planted into my foot he wasn’t planning on leaving anytime soon.

I had to bang him up against the wall before he letted go. I them proceeded to recite all the curse words I could remember, although I did repeat a few, while scrambling to get a towel and an ice pack to stop the bleeding pouring out of 4 major teeth holes in my foot. A day after the swelling went down and the blood stopped I took this picture. On the plus side I can walk again. I was getting a little tired sitting in my reclining chair watching my DVD collection of Hogan’s Heroes and Deadliest Catch while my wife served pizza and soda to me. :)

しばらくの間、日本語でブログを記そうと思う。理由は、同僚に僕が何を言ってるか知られたくないからだ。僕は『サントリー』が製造工場の65％シェアを保有する『ペプシ』に勤めている。引っ切り無しに日本から役員たちが訪れるのは想像に難くないだろう。『サントリー』からの訪問客たちがノースカロライナの『ペプシ』の工場を訪れる度に、それとは別にスーパーやショッピングセンターにも案内する。

このマーケットツアーで、いくつかこぼれ話があるうちの、彼らが帰国する前に最後に寄った『ウォル・マート』での話をしよう。唯一これらの店舗は、僕達が大きめのディスプレイをしたり販売促進用のバナーを店内の至る所に飾りつけたりする。『ウォル・マート』は『ジャスコ』と似てるのかな、価格が安いとか。

最終日には『サントリー』からの訪問客たちは皆満足げだった。彼らは『ウォル・マート』で買い込んだたくさんのお土産をスーツケースいっぱいにして日本へ帰って行った。『ペプシ』のお偉いさんはナイスなボーナスを受け取ったようだ。丁度訪問客たちが立ち寄った品揃え豊富なスーパーやショッピングセンターで、彼ら『サントリー』を納得(満足)させるほどだったので。従業員の僕と同じ立場の者たちは、でかいディスプレイをすべて積み上げるために夜半分を費やし、来客を満足させるためにすべてを完璧に成し遂げ、更にはそれらをまた元に戻すため取り壊し工場設備へと運んだ。やったー…。

少数ながら何人かの『サントリー』社員は残り、ローリー本部に勤務している。そして僕は、よく彼らに会う。この一帯では唯一の日本食品店がある。他の日本食品店のある車で片道４時間のシャーロット、ＮＣ州の軍基地の周りにあるいくつかの市、例えば『フェイェットビル』『ジャクソンビル』などに点在する多くの日本人向け店舗には沖縄の人がオーナーだったり店員として働いている。

Doctor Who theme wins sci-fi vote

The distinctive music to Doctor Who has been named the best television sci-fi theme tune in an online vote. It finished ahead of Red Dwarf, The X Files and Buffy The Vampire Slayer, according to website Total Sci-Fi.

The music, which has remained with the programme throughout its history in various forms, was composed and arranged back in 1963. Total Sci-Fi editor Matt McAllister called it "instantly recognisable to fans just by its opening bars". He added that it manages to convey the "outlandish quality of the show".

The music was composed by Australian Ron Grainer and arranged by Delia Derbyshire at the BBC's Radiophonic Workshop. The distinctive sound was created by combining a tape loop of a struck piano string with the sound of test oscillators and filters among a whole host of techniques. It has gone through a number of changes since the 1960s, and the current version which has been used since Doctor Who was revived in 2005 was arranged by Murray Gold.

Star Trek came in at number five in the poll, followed by Thunderbirds, The Twilight Zone, Battlestar Galactica, Quantum Leap and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Ms Derbyshire, who along with Mr Grainer was initially refused a credit for the music, died in 2001. The BBC had wanted to keep the members of their Radiophonic Workshop team anonymous.

A great friend of ours has sent us more pictures of Tokyo and the surrounding area. Places like Akiba, Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Dome, Disneyland, Big Site, Shinbashi, Nippon Budokun, Yasukuni Shrine, Gakushuuin, Fujimidai, Ikebukuro, Kanda, Parko, LAOX, Ueno Station. Just to name a few.

My wife has been watching this video ever since Friday. And I have to say that I have seen it nore than a few times myself.

My wife is drawing again

My wife use to work with a video game company drawing characters for video games. Over time she has been doing a few drawings on paper for me and the boys because we did not have the expensive software and drawing equipment she was use to using. But with a nice tax return we bought a simple Wacom tablet. After a while of getting use to drawing again she has finally finished one of her pictures.

Dragonball Evolution becomes an eunuch

My comment was: "The more I read about it, see the movie trailers and comments from just about everyone like me who grew up watching Dragonball Z/GT, I can honestly say that this will be the worst movie Hollywood has ever made."

In Japan, the Movie Studio did not show Dragonball Evolution to movie critics so many people did not fully know what the movie was about. So opening week it was the #3 movie in Japan. Next week it was #8; followed a week later at #11. Now you couldn't find its ranking in Japan because the listings only goes as so far.
日本では、映画配給社側は公開前の映画評論家による映画の評価、総評を発表せず、どのような内容か多くの人達には充分に知らされたいなかった(ように思う)。公開一週目は３位にランキング。二週目は８位、次の週では１１位。今では見当たらないしとうに下位に落ち込んでいる。

A few friends emailed me stating that it feels almost like an illusion. Heavy advertising for many weeks and now they can't find any information anywhere about the movie. Except for a Play Station movie version game no one wants to buy. One friend said the movie is more enjoyable IF you look at it as a parody. Many theaters have already stop showing Dragonball Evolution due to poor ticket sales.
何人かの友人がくれたメールでは、なんだか内容はほとんど勘違いな有様だったようだ。大量の広告を展開した割には、今では映画についてのインフォはどこにも見かけることがない、誰も欲しがらないんじゃないかなと思われるプレイステーションのゲームの宣伝以外は。友人の一人は『もし見るのなら、アレは原作パロなんだと考えた方が楽しめるんじゃないかな。』多くの劇場は早々に取りやめ残ったのは販売されるはずの哀れなチケットだけだ。

As to the person who emailed me about how I was giving incorrect information I hope you can for give me. And I am sorry. The next time Hollywood makes an American version of a Japanese anime and/or manga I will promise to get all my facts straight before stating (not describing the movie as you, homer4858@gmail.com stated) that it will be the worst movie Hollywood has ever made. Plus I will remember to put a comma between the word Dragonball and the letter Z as I forgot to do in my old blog site.

Sentai Parody 戦隊パロディ。

My two boys love watching Japanese Super Sentai Series (Power Rangers) shows. They have many of these shows since Mahou Sentai Magiranger series. And I have to say that I like watching them as well.
僕の二人の息子たちは日本のスーパー戦隊シリーズを見るのが大好き。遡って昔の『魔法戦隊マジレンジャー』から。僕もよく見るくらい気に入ってる。

The American version has the look and feel similar to the Hollywood movie version of Dragonball. Case in point. The Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger series revolved around a martial arts theme. The American version, Power Rangers Jungle Fury, was set in a pizza parlor. Engine Sentai Go-Onger had a racing theme to were as Power Rangers RPM, has a Terminator theme.
米版の戦隊モノは何ていうか、ハリウッド版のドラゴンボールみたいな感じ。例えば、『獣拳戦隊ゲキレンジャー』シリーズはマーシャルアーツスクールを舞台にした内容だったが、米版『パワーレンジャー・ジャングルフューリー』はピザ屋だった。『エンジン戦隊ゴーオンジャー』はレーシングチームだったのが『パワーレンジャーRPM』は『ターミネイター』のようだ。

A new cartoon show on Cartoon Network called League of Super Evil did a parody of the Japanese Power Rangers. The episode is called "Slam Dunked" Enjoy it until You Tube takes it off there web site.
カートゥーンネットワークで放送されてる最近の新しいアニメ『League of Super Evil』は日本の戦隊モノのパロディをやってた。タイトル『Slam Dunked』の回は『You Tube』で楽しめますよ(削除される前に)。

Finding Lost Stuff

My mother passed away last month and so I went to look around the house I grew up in and check out my old room. I still had posters of women in tiny bikini's like Samantha Fox's fishnet swimsuit hanging on the wall, old toys, cassettes of 70's and 80's music. As well as a few (dozen) magazines hidden under the mattress. Very good days indeed.
僕の母が先月亡くなり、僕は自分が育った家を見てまわり自分の部屋だった場所へ行ってみた。
きわどいビキニの女の子、フィッシュネット(網)水着を身に着けたサマンサ・フォックスのポスターが壁にそのままで、古い玩具、70年代80年代のミュージックテープ、上手い具合にマットレスの下に隠してそのままになった数冊(あるいは12～3冊)の雑誌。いい思い出だ。

One of those music cassettes was from a group called 'Queensryche'. I remember watching MTV one morning while getting ready for work. The video was 'Jet City Woman' from their album 'Empire'. and by that evening I had gone out and bought the cassette. Pretty good music to listen to when you are doing some reading in bed.
見つけたいくつかのミュージックテープのうちの一つが『Queensryche』と呼ばれるグループのだった。ある朝、仕事に行く身支度の間にMTVで見ていたのをよく覚えてる。ビデオは彼らのアルバム『Empire』の中の『Jet City Woman』。その日の夕刻にミュージックテープを買いに行った。ベッドで読み物をしながら聴くにはなかなかイイ音楽だ。

Comedy to heal the Soul

Still getting use to many changes that had happened last month. The best way I got over it was by watching lots of comedy TV shows and movies.
先月突然の出来事で、いろいろと変わってしまった事に慣れようとしている最中です。塞ぎこんだ気持ちを慰める一番良い方法はたくさんのコメディショーや映画を見ることです。

Soon I will be taking my family to a little get-away and reality will go on. After all; Star Trek, Transformers 2 and GI Joe will coming to a movie theater later on the year.
近々家族をつれてちょっとした小旅行(おでかけ)にでも行こうかな。『スタートレック』『トランスフォーマーズ２』『GＩジョー』が今年映画公開されるし。
