Come all ye fair young maidens and harken unto me,

Never trust a cricketer, whoever he may be.

Rowdier than a sailor who's been six months at sea,

Never let a cricketer's hand an inch above your knee.

First let's take the pace man, pure speed from first to last!

My darlings do be careful; his balls are hard and fast.

Then there's the medium pacer, his balls swing either way; 

He's really most persistent and can keep it up all day!

And watch for the off-spinner, girls, another awkward chap.

If you leave him half an opening, he will slip one through the gap!

Then there's the wily 'slow', pure cunning is his strength;

He'll tempt you, then he'll trap you with his very subtle length.

So ladies, do be careful, your mothers would agree.

Never trust a cricketer, whoever he may be.

And what about the opening bat, his struggles never cease!

He has only one ambition, to spend all day at the crease.

The number three is a dasher, he seldom prods and pokes.

When he goes into action, he has a fine array of strokes..

And do beware the slogger, not content with one or two;

When he arrives at the crease then only six will do.

Then there's the real stonewaller girls, he knows what he's about;

And if you let him settle in, it's hard to get him out!

We come now to the last man, I hope this will not shock,

He doesn't mind if he's last man in, as long as he gets a knock.

So, darlings, do be careful, and be well warned by me:

Never trust a cricketer, whoever he may be.

And watch the wicket-keeper, girls, he's full of flair and dash;

And if you raise your heel, he'll whip them off in a flash.

If you take the field with the captain, you had better know the score;

Or he'll have you in positions that you never knew before!

The cricket commentator is a nasty sort of bloke,

He watches all the action and describes it stroke by stroke.

Even the kindly umpire, who looks friendly as a pup;

You'll quickly find you've had it, when he puts his finger up!

A U.S. hydrogen bomb nearly detonated on the nation's east coast, with a single switch averting a blast which would have been 260 times more powerful than the device that flattened Hiroshima, a newly published book says.

Eureka, North Carolina

In a recently declassified document, reported in a new book by Eric Schlosser, the supervisor of the nuclear weapons safety department at Sandia national laboratories said that one simple, vulnerable switch prevented nuclear catastrophe.

The Guardian newspaper published the document on Saturday.

Two hydrogen bombs were accidentally dropped over Goldsboro on Jan. 24, 1961, after a B-52 bomber broke up in flight. One of the bombs apparently acted as if it was being armed and fired — its parachute opened and trigger mechanisms engaged.

Parker F. Jones at the Sandia National Laboratories analyzed the accident in a document headed "How I learned to mistrust the H-Bomb."

"The MK39 Mod 2 bomb did not possess adequate safety for the airborne-alert role in the B-52," he wrote. When the B-52 disintegrates in the air it is likely to release the bombs in "a near normal fashion," he wrote, calling the safety mechanisms to prevent accidental arming "not complex enough."

The document said the bomb had four safety mechanisms, one of which is not effective in the air. When the aircraft broke up, two others were rendered ineffective.

"What prevented the detonation was one switch, one safety switch, and a fair amount of good luck, because that safety switch was later found, in some cases. to be defective," Schlosser told CBS News.

He discovered the document, written in 1969, through the Freedom of Information Act.

It is featured in his new book on nuclear arms, "Command and Control," which reports that through FOI he discovered that at least 700 "significant" accidents and incidents involving 1,250 nuclear weapons were recorded between 1950 and 1968.

43. When you go to buy bread in the grocery store, have you ever wondered which is the freshest, so you 'squeeze' for freshness or softness? Did you know that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week? Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each day has a different color twist tie.

They are:

Monday = Blue,

Tuesday = Green,

Thursday = Red

Friday = White

Saturday = Yellow.

So if today was Thursday, you would want red twist tie; not white which is Fridays (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color Blue- Green - Red - White - Yellow, Monday through Saturday. Very easy to remember. I thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and the bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the ones with the plastic clips have different colors. You learn something new everyday! Enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping.

DECEMBER 2012

Rebecca's mother notices cuts on her daughter's right wrist. Rebecca says it was because she was being bullied. She is taken to a hospital and stays for three days. Counseling is set up and she returns to school.

JANUARY 24, 2013

Rebecca's mother calls police after she is bumped in the school hallway. Police are also told a girl wants to fight Rebecca.

School officials talk to both girls and change schedules so they're not in class together. Around this time, Rebecca's mother decides to home-school her daughter for the rest of the year.

AUGUST

Rebecca starts school at Lawton Chiles Middle Academy. She 'loved the school,' the sheriff said, but the bullying continued online. Police find comments including 'You should die' and 'Why don't you go kill yourself.'

SUNDAY NIGHT

Rebecca's mother goes to bed; her daughter is on her cellphone texting. It would be the last time Rebecca's mother saw her alive.

MONDAY

Rebecca's mother wakes up and her daughter is not there. She believes she has already left for school, which she typically does each day about 6:45 a.m.

At some point, Rebecca changes one her online screen names to 'That Dead Girl.'

At 7.37am: Rebecca messages a friend in North Carolina on a social media website, saying 'I'm jumping, I can't take it anymore.' Police said the 12-year-old boy didn't tell anyone.

About 5.30pm: Rebecca's older sister calls their mother because Rebecca hasn't come home from school.

At 7pm, police began searching for Rebecca.

A milk protein is used in the manufacturing of latex, which means most condoms are unsuitable for use by vegans!

Many people are concerned about condom materials because they have an allergy to latex. Considering that most condoms are made from latex, this concern makes sense. However, it turns out that those afflicted with latex allergies are not the only ones that should be questioning just what condoms are made of.

It turns out that some condoms are made with milk proteins, making them unsuitable for vegans. Vegans, unlike vegetarians, abstain from consuming not only meat but all animal products, including milk.

Many condom companies manufacture their condoms using casein, a milk protein. They may also use milk powder. Thankfully for those vegans who don’t want to give up their birth control, there are vegan-approved condoms. Glyde Condoms, Sir Richard’s Condoms, RFSU Condoms, Condomi Condoms and a number of others have all been confirmed by the Vegan Society to contain no animal products.

There was a group of women gathered at a seminar on how to live in a loving relationship with their husbands.

12 year old Murdered by Cyber-Bullying

A 12-YEAR-OLD girl has committed suicide after she was bullied online by more than a dozen girls and a sheriff said he is investigating whether he can file charges under a new state law that covers cyber-bullying.

Sheriff Grady Judd said that Rebecca Ann Sedwick killed herself on Monday at an old cement business.

Investigators in Lakeland, Florida, say the girl was despondent after others had posted hate messages about her online. Rebecca was "absolutely terrorized on social media", Mr Judd said.

The Lakeland Ledger reports that detectives found multiple social media applications where Rebecca was constantly bullied with messages, including "Go kill yourself," and "Why are you still alive?"

He said parents of all 15 girls have cooperated with detectives and several mobile phones and laptops have been confiscated. Mr Judd said charges could be filed - including cyber stalking.

"If we can get any evidence of a criminal offence, the person or persons involved will be punished," he said.

Before her death, Rebecca had searched questions online related to suicide. Detectives also found photos of Rebecca with razor blades lying on her arms and with her head resting on a railroad track, Judd said.

Mr Judd said a 12-year-old boy in North Carolina, who Rebecca met through social media, knew of her plan. Rebecca messaged him only hours before her death saying she was dead and "I can't take it anymore."

Rebecca also changed her name on a free messaging application to "That Dead Girl".

Judd said detectives are trying to investigate the social media applications that Rebecca used, including Kik and Ask.fm, but many of the websites are based in other countries.

If detectives can find evidence, according to Florida law, the girls could be charged with felony cyber stalking because Rebecca was under 16 years old.

"If you bully somebody online and it's reported to us and we can build a credible case, we will charge you," Mr Judd said.

Ask.fm has already been linked to several other teenage suicides.

The Latvian-based website, which launched in 2010, boasts about 60 million users worldwide and is growing by thousands every day.

But it faces a growing backlash after the  death of British 14-year-old Hannah Smith earlier this year, who reportedly suffered months of bullying on the website before committing suicide.

Making Million$ From Illegals

In my job I visit a variety of grocery and department stores. On a daily basis I have encountered many people who park their vehicle illegally in the fire lanes located in the front of these stores. They would either go inside to do their shopping or wait in the car. In either case, the vehicle is at times so close to the entrance that people going in and out of the place have to walk around said vehicle.

My proposal is this. Raise the parking fine to $500 for the first three months before raising it to $750. Have police officers working in plain clothes stationed at different places each day. As people illegally park their vehicle, the officer would write out the parking ticket and leave it with the unattended vehicle or the driver, if present.

In the first few weeks, the local police department could collect thousands of dollars to begin expanding the program to cover more stores and businesses where people continue to block access for fire trucks and ambulances to use in emergencies.
