NCIS Fan Script (Hidden Treasure)

I’m not very good at writing.  So this will be another cliff note version of my fan made version of a NCIS episode.

The story begins from a look around an apartment.  As the sounds of people fighting are heard followed by gun shots being fired leads to the front door being kicked opened. The fighting continues inside as they each try to kill the other person. The phone begins to ring as one of the attackers grabs a gun that had earlier fallen on the floor and shots the other.

As the first man falls followed by the other, the sound of McGee’s voice is heard on the answering machine as it becomes evident that the apartment in question is that of Tony DiNozzo’s. McGee is sounding annoyed in wondering if Tony is coming in to work today. The scene finishes with the image of two people lay face down on the floor.

Cue music

At NCIS McGee is still leaving a message on Tony’s answering machine as Gibbs enters to tell McGee that Tony has been with other officials in a secure meeting in the Directors office since early morning. A little office banner goes on between McGee and Ziva about what is going on with Tony this time as Gibbs brushes it off as a review from an earlier case.

Inside the Directors office Tony is being asked to go undercover again. Much like when he went undercover by dating Jeanne who is the daughter of an arms dealer La Grenouile. This time he is to simply take a night class and monitor a suspect. Tony is showing a little reluctance but takes the assignment. He is extremely happy to find out that it’s a film class but is taken aback to find out that the suspect is a woman 15 years older than him and the same next door neighbor who slept with his father on his own bed.

In the squad room Gibbs gets the usual phone call announcing a call out for an NCIS agent. But when Gibbs gets the address, he double checks it again. He calls the Directors secretary and leaves a massage for Tony. As Gibbs and team leave, Tim and Ziva find out that they are going to Tony’s apartment. Making their way towards the elevator they both seem excited as they've never been to Tony’s place. McGee makes a comment about this being virgin territory as he’s looking towards Ziva who can’t figure out how to address his statement. Gibbs hitting the elevator button with a raised eyebrow while trying to keep a straight face.

At Tony’s apartment, the team is met by the building manager and the police. Other tenants noticed the commotion and called the police. The team notices that the attack originated next door. Gibbs and Tim enter Tony’s Apartment and begin to work on dealing with the two people lying dead on the floor. Ziva goes inside the neighbor’s apartment to see the place is completely trashed. One room looks more like an observation room. Files, blueprints and machines all strode onto the floor reveal that the person(s) living here was watching Tony.

After a while Ziva joins Gibbs and Tim to inform them on what she has found. Afterwards Gibbs gets a call from Tony saying he’ll be there in ten minutes. Ducky and Palmer show up as both Tim and Ziva appear to want approval from Gibbs that they would like a look around of Tony’s apartment. Reluctantly he gives them 5 minutes and to be quick about it.

Like kids in a candy store they quickly look around but stop once they see his bedroom; the same small bed. But once inside the sound of Ziva’s voice could easily be heard as she declared that she was going to kill Tony. Gibbs rushes in to see what is wrong and notices that Tony has hung on his wall two large pictures; one of Kate winning the wet t-shirt contest and the other one of Ziva in a bikini.

After a good look, they all go back into the livingroom where Ducky informs them of his findings. They were both shot but continued to fight on till they both simply bled to death from their wounds. By now Tony is showing up as Ziva looks to kill him on the spot. As Gibbs breaks up their discussion, Tim quickly fills in Ducky and Palmer on what is happening.  Palmer wants to go see but Ducky holds him back saying that works comes first. Plus Ziva might kill him.

They get the bodies ready for transport as Tony tells Gibbs what he knows about his next door neighbor. In her mid-50’s and always ready for a good time; even commenting that it was her that his father had sex with in his bedroom. She’s always trying to spend time with him to the point of creepiness. Tony then learns that she may have been a stalker just by the way she had been tracking his every move.

As Ziva and Tim go to the other apartment to collect all the evidence, Ducky and Palmer take a quick look in Tony’s bedroom as Gibbs catches them acting like teens going through puberty. Back at NCIS Ziva isn’t speaking to Tony. In Abby’s lab, they find out that the dead guys have been listening in to Tony’s phone conversations with an audio and video feed as well for what appears to have been going on for about a week now.

Because it’s Tony’s apartment, Tim and Ziva go back over to look for bugs and anything out of the ordinary. Tony starts looking for any info about the people who live there as well as trying to find a place to stay until the case is over and he can move back in. Gibbs ends that problem by having Tony stay at his place. The reason being is that this could have been a recon job to go after Tony so Tony must stay in protective custody. Tony states that he has to see the Director as it is related to the meeting in his office earlier that morning. Before Gibbs could say anything the Director is there and ready to inform Gibbs in his office about it.

In the Directors office, Gibbs is informed that one of the persons lying in autopsy is Jonathan Price. He is the nephew of Ms. Vivian Stance. Ms. Stance was part of Tony’s operation to shadow him. He was recently paroled in relations to stealing millions from a Navy Federal Credit Union, as the money was never recovered. With nothing solid to link him and his partner to the theft, they were both tried on lesser charges.

With Tony watching her as he took night classes maybe they could get a lead on Mr. Price and the money.
Back at Tony’s apartment, Ziva is still upset that Tony still had those pictures of her. Tim tries to stay on her good side as both look throughout Tony’s place for bugs.  And they find lots of them in the ventilation system and many other areas of the apartment. They find so many bugs in that it was impossible not to hear anything going on in Tony’s apartment.

In Abby’s lab there is a small machine that Abby figures out is an experimental x-ray machine. Tony joins Gibbs and Abby stating it’s just like from the second Batman movie with Christian Bale where all the cell phones were used as a mapping system to find the Joker. Abby agrees as they both talk about the movie as Gibbs breaks up there conversation to find out what their talking about.

Small devises planted throughout the apartment, all emitting a signal. The machine picks up those signals and gives out an entire x-ray picture of the whole apartment. Tony informs them that before he moved into that apartment, the building had just been through a major remodeling job. They guess that Jonathan Price must have hid the money on that floor during the remodel. And by the looks of the evidence, that money is somewhere in Tony’s apartment.

Tony’s reluctant in having his whole apartment destroyed looking for the money but he has no choice on it. The team shows up with lots of equipment to begin their search. By then Ms. Vivian Stance shows up. She looks really scared but she surrenders to the team. As Tony and Ziva continue to look throughout Tony’s apartment for the money, Gibbs and Tim take her back to NCIS for interrogation.

As they are driving back they learn that Jonathan Price is indeed her nephew. And the other man who died was Brian Dane, his partner. As the building was being remodeled, she was set up to move into one of the apartments. When they robbed the bank, they hid the money in the wrong area of the floor. Once they got out of jail they began looking into the buildings blue prints before they narrowed their search down to Tony’s apartment.

Brian Dane was getting impatient and wanted to kill Tony so they could quickly get the money. But she was against it for she was still in love with Tony’s father. She starts blushing saying that for a man of his age, he still knew how to please a woman. She wouldn’t let Brian do it but when he struck her, Jonathan rushed in to basically defend his aunt’s honor. The fight went into Tony’s apartment because Brian thought that Tony was there. He wasn’t because of an early meeting with the director. She states that she ran because she was afraid.

Abby calls Gibbs to inform him that Brian Dane’s step-father is the building manager where Tony lives at. Gibbs confronts Ms. Stance with this new evidence saying that she was forced to be a distraction to get as many people away from the apartment so he could get the money before it was discovered.

Tim states the obvious saying that two guys rob a Navy bank and hide it in a building being remodeled. The apartment with the money gets rented to the aunt of one of the members as they sit back and wait till the heat is off and collects the money later. But because of the construction they planted the money in the wrong area and had to search and locate it first. Tim also begins to call Tony and Ziva.

Back at Tony’s apartment, Ziva is still boiling mad at Tony so they both search in separate rooms. They begin talking to each other as Tony tries to explain why he still has those pictures but Ziva doesn’t buy his explanation. She notices a small compartment in the closet. Upon looking inside she finds an album. She notices that it’s a collection of newspapers clippings relating to Agent Todd and Jenny Shepard. She sees on the first page that Tony had written a message; ‘Two great people who died on my watch.’

She places the album back where she found it. All her anger towards Tony is gone as she understands why Tony still has that picture of her. By then Tony calls Ziva to say that he has found something. Under the kitchen sink area is the money. They break open the floor and pull out the money. By now both Tony and Ziva’s phone begins ringing but a man standing behind them has other plans.

As Gibbs and Tim are racing back through traffic to Tony’s apartment, the apartment manager has his gun trained on Tony and Ziva. He now has the money and is prepared to kill them both to eliminate any witnesses including Ms. Stance. Without weapons or backup, it looks like this is it for them. Tony, still looking at the gunman, tells Ziva to get ready. By the time she asked for what, Tony charges towards the gunman as he fires his gun.

As Gibbs and Tim show up, they see the gunman is unconscious due in part to Tony’s diversion for Ziva to knock him out.  But they also see Tony is in pain from being shot in the arm. Ziva has already called the paramedics. Tim tells Tony that there is a finder’s fee for finding the money. Tony shoots back saying, “Great, just enough to fix up the place; again.”

At the hospital, Ziva tells Tony that she found the album dedicated to Todd and Shepard. That she understood that those pictures hanging in his bedroom was a reminder of his failures. Tony being Tony lets it be known that he also has a bath and towel set with their picture on it as well. The scene ends with Ziva’s turning her back towards Tony as she is then seen picking up a surgical knife.

End Scene.

NCIS Fan Script #2

I'm not that good at writing. So I'll leave it to professionals and those with imaginations to fix the grammar and multiple errors in my writing style to improve upon it. Nevertheless, enjoy.

It begins as the sound of a doorbell is ringing. A man stumbles out of bed still half asleep. Tripping over luggage, giving the impression that he just got home after a long trip. He lets the person on the other side of the door know that he was coming. Quickly opening the door he sees someone holding a gun at him and is shot repeatedly.

Cue music.

It opens up as Tony and Ziva on a military aircraft carrier flying somewhere over the Middle East. Sitting between them in their custody is Marine Corporal Hatch. Not a bad guy, more as an innocent employee of a company set up for funneling money and training terrorist.  He was the one who notified the authorities that brought Tony and Ziva to go and get him. Corporal Hatch is feeling more comfortable just as the plane comes under attack from rocket launchers on the ground.

Flashback to when Gibb’s and his team arrive at the home where a man, Marine Major Parks,  who was shot at the door still lays in front of the entrance.  His wife and two kids are next door out of fear the killers would be back. Ducky and Palmer begin working on the body as Ziva goes over to interview the wife.
Gibb’s, Tony and McGee search the house as it appeared to have been ransacked. His luggage seen earlier is not there. Gathering what evidence they can, Gibb’s goes over to see the wife to get a better picture of what had happened.

Stating that after her husband was shot in the doorway; two men entered and began to look for something specific. They slapped her around as they demanded his belongings. They noticed his suitcases and grabbed them. They also take his cell phone and clothing that was lying on a chair. One points a gun at her as the other man simply knocked her unconscious with a blow to the back of the head.

Gibbs then gets a phone call from The Director saying he has to get back to NCIS for a meeting with the Secretary of the Navy and a Pentagon Official, General Ratcher. In the Director’s office, Gibbs is brought up to speed on the individual who was shot at his home. He was a messenger for Corporal Hatch in bringing documents and Intel about the company he was working for to General Ratcher.

In autopsy, Ducky see’s in the x-rays that there is something embedded in one of the Major’s buttocks. Removing it, they get it to Abby who unlocks tons of documents stored on it. She calls Gibbs and with the Director and General Ratcher they go to Abby’s lab and looks over the documents. Glancing over a bit of the data, General Ratcher strongly orders the info to be taken to a more secure location.

Back in the Director’s office they find a treasure trove of evidence of an American company set up in Afghanistan to train the Afghan military and civilian police force. They see evidence of large amounts of money going in and out of the company to known terrorist bank accounts after it had gone through several dummy companies.

But the one thing that gets their attention is the hand written massage on one of the documents from Corporal Hatch is that this company, with the help from the US military, has in reality been training many terrorist in US military tactics. The Pentagon official, General Ratcher, wants to raid the facility but the Director and Gibbs would like to get Hatch out first. His Intel of the company is crucial.

The Director sends Tony and Ziva to go and get him back stateside as quickly as possible. When they acquire him, a Marine unit will go in and secure the area. McGee begins looking for information on the owners of the company. Mark Rauch, a former marine who served in the first Gulf war and Natalia Hamidi, a rich American woman of Jordanian decent.

Natalia Hamidi travels a lot on business but she resides in the Washington DC area to deal with congressional support. Mark Rauch resides in Afghanistan and controls the daily operations of the company.
Not wanting to alert them and other people working at this company and risk getting themselves and Corporal Hatch killed Tony and Ziva dress up as Marines reporting to the company to inspect the daily training process.

Unbeknownst to them, a security official has run a face recognition program on both of them. Just as they see Corporal Hatch alarms start going off. The images of Tony and Ziva’s face appear on a computer screen showing them as NCIS agents. By now Tony and Ziva have grabbed Corporal Hatch and are running to a Military jeep with Ziva returning fire towards Afghan personnel firing at them.

As they leave the area they see what looks like a huge military strike force go into the company area as the sounds of an ongoing firefight can be heard behind them. They are driven right up to the entrance of an awaiting military cargo plane ready for take-off. Quickly getting inside, the plane leaves the base as they settle down and finally catch their breath.

All this leading up to earlier in the show when the plane comes under attack from rocket launchers. The plane takes an indirect hit from the underside but with everything appearing normal they continue to fly on to a base in Germany then onto Washington DC. By then Hatch informs them on more Intel about the company. He basically gives the same story to Tony and Ziva that McGee is finding out about the company in question.

Set up by those with anti-American feelings by recruiting former soldiers with grudges to train terrorist in American tactics all under the guise of training local military and police while having the US Government pay for the training. All the former military personnel working for the company have a dishonorable discharge or made statements showing support against the war.

Corporal Hatch goes on to say that the company recently installed a direct link to all military data. The guise was for the company to easily identify suspected terrorist trying to enlist in the Afghan military and police force. In reality, it was being used to get a constant updates of US and allied intel so terrorist could use it against US forces.

He goes on to say that he has all the intel of employees, bank accounts and terrorist operation: past present and future on the whole organization on a chip implanted in his butt cheek just like Major Parks. They couldn’t contact the Pentagon directly or they would have been identified and all the evidence and terrorist would have gone into hiding from US officials. Major Parks was officially heading home and was to meet with General Ratcher.

The plane begins to act funny as it flies over Israel. They have to land and Ziva contacts her father to quickly clear a landing site. As the plane is landing, the landing gear begins to buckle. As the plane is trying to slow down and come to a stop, a fire erupts as everyone quickly begins to exit the plane. One side of the landing gear starts to collapse as Tony and Ziva are making their way to an exit.

As Hatch and the flight crew jumps out of the plane onto the tarmac, one of the planes fuel tanks in the wing erupts and the plane begins to lean over to its side. As Tony grabs Ziva, he gives her a message and pushes her out the door as the plane rolls over. Ziva looks up from the tarmac with what may be a broken arm and see the plane becoming engulfed in flames with Tony still inside. Fire crews show up and begin to work on putting out the fire.

The scene cut to the NCIS office where Gibbs and McGee are working during the night. All of a sudden McGee states that something doesn’t feel right. Gibbs looking at McGee says that he feels it too. When McGee asks on how long it will be before Tony and Ziva get back, Gibbs begins to call but they see the news images on the TV screen of a military plane on fire at an Israeli airport. The Director then calls Gibbs who then informs Gibbs on what Eli just told him.

Hatch is OK, Ziva has a sprained arm and Tony is still unconscious with 2nd degree burns. Ziva has been staying by Tony’s bed side the entire time as she finds it harder and harder to hide her tears. Her father then enters the room and quietly tells Ziva that everyone at NCIS have been informed of their ordeal.  Looking at his daughter then towards Tony, Eli begins to open up to Ziva.

Stating that Tony killed one of his best men, made him look like an idiot during his interrogation of Tony. But he also rescued Ziva from a terrorist camp, protected his life from a terrorist attack in Washington DC.  As he turns to leave the room he comments that Tony would make a great son-in-law. Ziva is a bit shock to hear this coming from her father but then looks towards Tony and finally begins to smile as the tears begins to flow.

Back at NCIS Gibbs gets word that the Afghan company has been ceased and all those working there have been either missing, detained or killed. It was then learned that they had a direct link to all military intel and knew Tony and Ziva were going to Afghanistan. More intel starts coming in as the chip implanted in Corporal Hatch has been removed and securely downloaded to NCIS from Eli David.

McGee then finds that Natalia Hamidi is in the Washington DC area meeting with politicians to try and get more support and funding for her company. They track her to a meeting she is currently having with a Senator. They watch her through surveillance cameras as her meeting is cut short as she and the Senator are surrounded by military personnel. She and her aids are arrested and carried off. It is then the Senator is told what is happening. He had agreed to increase funding to her company for another five years.

At NCIS her aids are identified as the ones who killed Major Parks and attack his wife. Hamidi is informed that her company has been taken over as all moneys, including hers, connected to the company have been ceased. She is questioned on the whereabouts of Mark Rauch but she doesn’t say anything. She is then informed she is being transported to Gitmo as a penniless woman with no hope of ever getting out.

Back in Israel Tony wakes up to find Ziva sleeping in a chair next to him. He tries to move about a bit as Ziva quickly wakes up and tends to him. She starts to cry a bit as Tony tries to calm her down by talking about movies that have planes blowing up in them. Everyone at NCIS is informed that Tony’s awake and in good health. He and Ziva would return as soon as Tony is able to travel.

Weeks later in an Afghan Desert area, terrorist are going through training given by Mark Rauch who is looking more native than before. A shot is heard as Rauch is killed by a bullet to the head. Far off in the distance an individual quickly climbs down a hill side and gets into a vehicle and drives off rather quickly. He removes his turban to reveal himself as Malachi.

He gets to a secure site and notifies that he was successful in his mission. Later at Ziva’s apartment, her father calls to give her the news about Mark Rauch. A bit puzzled she asked why he did this for NCIS. He reply’s that he didn’t go after her when she was captured by terrorist and want to make a start at repairing their relationship and to repay a debt to Tony for all those years of looking after his daughter.

As she hands up the phone, she’s remembering the words that Tony said to her as the plane was exploding all around them. It is a quote from the novel and movie ‘A Tale of Two Cities, "It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done”.

The scene ends as Ziva puts the phone down as the image of someone holding a TV remote un-pause a movie being played. That person is revealed to be Tony who is sitting on the couch next to Ziva. The movie they are watching is A Tale of Two Cities. And as Tony is focused on watching the movie, Ziva is smiling as she looks upon Tony.

Surviving Military Target Practice

The following is an actual true story. From a different point of view.

Waking up from the hospital bed after a quick and unexpected surgery is one thing. But being surrounded by military personnel in a hospital gown is another. I checked myself to see the damages were all repaired in my right arm and left leg as I also check to see if my man parts were still attached. With a sigh of relief a nurse came over to see if I needed anything. To which I replied that I needed to go to the bathroom.

She helped me to the porcelain throne where I did what I mainly do most of as afterwards she helped me back to my bed. An NCIS agent enters the room wanting a full detail report of what happened that caused me to nearly get killed on base. Getting comfortable in bed I proceeded to tell a tale that is the god honest true from my point of view. Setting up his electronic recorder to record my testimony, I began my journey down memory lane.

That morning was like every other morning. Marines are up by 5 AM ready to go on three mile runs before breakfast. Afterwards it’s training and office work till lunchtime. It’s usually MRE’s, Meals Ready To Eat if your platoon is too far the mess hall. Then more work until that evening where everyone was pretty much finished for the day.

Being on base and heading out to one of the training areas on the far corner of the base, I was very careful to stay aware of the road signs so as to not windup in the middle of the target practice field. A tree had collapsed from the storm that night as it had crushed a sign post. With no road marker I simply followed the route I normally follow when I am in this area.

I reduced the speed of my vehicle to prevent any accidents. Soon I noticed more trees had fallen. I took the road that I believed to be the correct path. Noticing another vehicle in the area and upon meeting up with it I soon found that my worst fear had been realized. I was in the middle of the target training area.

The whistling sound of incoming is always a sound that you feel at the bottom of your gut when you are at the receiving end of that sound. And I was definitely feeling it. I exited my vehicle and ran. The car I parked next to was obliterated as mine was laying in the crater where the other car once was.

Not having time to fully check if I was injured or not as more sounds of incoming artillery approaching all around me, I simply ran for my life. After that barrage, I heard whistles and horns being blown as the sound of men running towards me gave me the reassurance that everything was going to be all right. That is until I saw my bloody leg and shoulder.

Very quickly I was surrounded by Marines as they quickly proceeded to treat my wounds. I felt at ease as they worked to ascertain my injuries and call in to arrange for medical assistance. The last thing I remember before passing out from the pain was a tourniquet placed on my leg as several Marines started to carry me to the hospital.

The NCIS officer then surmised that with the damaged caused by the storm led to me winding up as target practice. As the officer was preparing to leave, the nurse enters to inform me that my boss has been notified of what has happened as my family was preparing to visit the base to see me. The NCIS agent was puzzled by this and asked if I was a Marine or not and what was my purpose for going to that part of the base.

I then casually said that I was a pizza delivery guy who was bringing an order of pizzas to a unit for their lunch after their target practice games.

The Death of Anthony DiNozzo

The Death of Anthony DiNozzo
NCIS fan script
Another fan script of one of my favorite TV shows. Before reading, please be advice that I have a great imagination but terrible penmanship when it comes to actual writing. The following story is basically a cliff note version.

The scene begins as a patient is rushed into the emergency room as doctors and nurses are all talking in medical terms. In time as they continually work on the patient a small but faint voice is being heard as it gradually increases in volume. Before long the name Tony is clearly heard as the sounds of the hospital activity is starting to fade away. As the name ‘Tony’ is clearly the only sound being heard, the eyes of Tony DiNozzo, who is the patient, open up and sees Kate Todd looking at him. She then states; ‘Ready to go?’ Then the opening music begins to play.

The rest of the team is returning to NCIS headquarters with a few prisoners and dead bodies for autopsy. They are met by Vance who wants a preliminary report of what happened. Gibbs gathering himself together starts explaining. Report of an AWAL solder led the team to not only finding him but also part of a sleeper cell. A group they learned was getting ready to become active. The team made a plan to raid the place as everything was going according to plan. A major shoot out took place but after two of the terrorist are killed and two more are too injured to fight on, the rest are quickly apprehended. The place is secured as local police show up for support when Tony knocks Ziva down as a shot is heard. Gibbs and McGee turn with their weapons and kill the terrorist.

Ziva starts complaining to Tony about how he didn’t have to push her like that but stops as she notices a lot of blood around an unconscious Tony. Gibbs begins to treat him as best he could and works to stop the blood flow. Paramedics arrive and treat him before carrying him to the hospital. Vance wants him and his team to interrogate what’s left of the terrorist cell while he contacts the hospital for any updates. Tim and Ziva looks a bit shock at having to continue to work while Tony is in the hospital but Gibbs clearly states that they have to find out if there are any more of this cell out there.

By then as Ducky and Palmer start to carry the bodies to autopsy Abby rushes out of the elevator asking what happened. Gibbs grabs her as she is talking so fast it becomes inaudible. Eventually she stops talking and begins crying. Gibbs says that he’s at the hospital and if anything changes he would let her know. He sends McGee with the electronic evidences to work with Abby as he and Ziva will interrogate the cell members. The final scenes are of everyone working but noticeably thinking about Tony.

As Tony appears to be standing around a hospital room, Kate is trying to have a conversation with him but Tony just can’t get the words to come out right. Kate finally grabs Tony, stares right at him and states, ‘You’ve been shot. The Doctors are working on you but there is a long way to go. You really need to focus here.’ He looks at her, finally understanding what is going on. Smiling he believes that this is it. He starts saying things like, “Of all the women in my life I get stuck with you”. ‘‘Thanks Tony, that means a lot coming from you” Kate fires back at him. “What I mean is that I always thought of you like a little sister rather than a gorgeous woman that you are.’” “Why thanks Tony, I think.” Kate puzzling says.

As Tony begins asking Kate many questions about what is going to happen next she stops him and begins to thank him for avenging her death and for helping so many other people. Tony feeling that there is nothing else to live for begins talking about the type of funeral he always wanted to have. Wishing he had a chance to say the things he always wanted to say. To which Kate interrupts him by mentioning Ziva’s name. He looks on giving a subtle yes.  She is the perfect girl to keep you in line Tony. One slipup and she would put you in the hospital, if you’re lucky. But I can never say that to her now. Say what I wanted to say for years now. For that matter to the rest of the team as Tony begins speaking out his true feelings before Kate.

McGee is like the friend who owns a pickup truck, always there when you need him the most. He was more than a Probe, he was my friend. Of course I tormented him at times but seriously I really did enjoy it. Abby, the strange relative you were happy to see once a year at Christmas but I got honor to see her almost every day. Ducky is the loveable Uncle who’s more like the energizer bunny of trivia facts. Palmer is like the weirdest cousin ever but is smarter than most people really give him credit for and Gibbs.  Gibbs has been more like a father to me than my old man ever has. At times I wanted to say dad just to see what he would say. And Ziva. After a long pause his eyes get all watery as he tries to get the words out. Kate begins to speak softly saying, “I know Tony.”

In Abby’s lab Abby is working at a really fast pace to process the evidence so those responsible for Tony being shot can be brought to justice. She starts knocking stuff down including her Caf Pow to where Tim grabs her and in a very long hug, she finally breaks down crying. Even he has a few tears in his eyes. They look at each other as they are about to kiss when her instruments start going off leading into the next scene. Gibbs and Ziva are interrogating the AWAL soldier. The soldier breaks down a bit revealing that it was the plan to have many young al-Qaeda members join the military, working their way up the ranks. The main reason he went AWAL was when a member of his unit who spoke Arabic figured out he was a traitor.

As Gibbs and Ziva pressed for more information about other members of the terrorist cell Abby calls to say she found an address to a house outside the DC area. Gibbs gets the team plus a few more agents together and arrives at the house just catching the rest of the cell leaving. A firefight breaks out with the entire terrorist cell choosing in being killed rather than captured. Inside the house and van are a treasure trove of information and a list of other service men in different branches with one who is ranked a colonel and currently serving at the Pentagon. As Gibbs and others look around the house he gets a call from Vance saying Tony’s condition has turned for the worse. A scene at the hospital shows Doctors working frantically to stabilize Tony’s condition.

As Tony starts to look more and more depressed, Kate tries her best to cheer him up. Tony ignoring everything she is saying by yelling out “What’s the use? I’m dead.” “No you’re not Tony” and with that she grabs his hand and instantly they are in the same room as the Doctors are working on Tony. “You’re still alive Tony. And there is something else. This may be the only time to say this and we don’t have much time.”  A puzzled Tony looks at Kate as the images around them fades away to where they are alone. Kate looks at Tony and says “Thank you for everything. I really have learned a lot from you.” A woman’s voice is heard from behind Tony saying “You always knew how to make me smile Tony.” It’s Paula Cassidy. Next to her is Agent Lee. With tears in her eyes she thanks Tony for saving her sister.

Before long more and more people appear around Tony and Kate. Young, old, men, women and children and all of them are thanking Tony for helping them by solving their deaths and bringing the real criminals to justice. As what appears to be a stadium full of people surrounding Tony as he continually turns around and recognizes many of these people. He starts to focus in on one voice that he hasn’t heard in a very long time. As the huge crowd of people quiets down Tony slowly turns to a woman who appears about the same age as him.

“Mom” a watery eye Tony softly says. She acknowledges and they embraced. Tony begins trying to speak as the tears are flowing and his words are almost inaudible but his mother understood every word being said.

She looks at Tony saying how proud she is of him. Proud of the fact that even though his father wasted so much time trying to get rich instead of being there for you that you turned out really great. I am proud of you son. To which a speechless Tony continues to cry but this time with a huge smile. As everyone around Tony fades away leaving only Kate, Tony and his mother who begins tells him not to give up, that there is so much to live for. As Tony is more composed now but is taken aback when she states that she approves of Ziva.

Tony denies any involvement with her but she places her hand over his mouth saying’ “Don’t lie to your mother. It’s obvious to everyone but you. Just tell her.”  She fades away leaving Tony and Kate alone as Kate breaks the silence by saying it was very heroic the way he saved Ziva’s life. He brushes off the complement looking embarrassed saying that it was nothing. Kate wanted to know how Tony could have seen that guy who was well hidden. Tony is trying his best to change the subject but he finds himself along with Kate at the very scene where he was shot at. This is your life Tony, the scene where you saved Ziva. With that the scene begins playing out. As Gibbs and team shows up, the shootout and as the scene plays out of Tony knocking down Ziva so she wouldn’t be shot, Kate angrily stops the image.

In Gibbs basement, Gibbs is working on his boat. He stops, throws down his tools. He goes over and pours himself a drink. He is thinking of Tony when he raises his glass and offers up a toast to him. Holding back the tears he says something like, “To a guy I would be honored to call my son. Get well soon.” By then his phone rings but he ignores it. But the person calls back and Gibbs finally answers it. The scene cuts to Abby and Tim having a late dinner together. She is starving but as she begins to eat she can’t do it. They plan to go to the hospital afterwards to visit Tony. As Tim tries to calm Abby’s nerves, he states that Tony wouldn’t stop eating for anything. Recounting the numerous times Tony has been eating in her lab. More at ease, Abby and Tim start eating. Tim then receives a phone call.

As Kate looks at the man who is preparing to fire on the team, she notices Tony is looking out into the crowded street. And she notices the real reason Tony knocked down Ziva. In the crowd of people is a young woman wearing a very short tight dress looking like a Playboy centerfold model. She angrily rants away at Tony as he smiles back at her. She stops herself stating, “I should have seen this. I do not see how she could ever love you but you do have your moments. Even if you did see that guy you would still try to save them”. As Tony looks deep into Kate’s eyes, he thanks her for giving him hope, for not giving up, regrets and that his life does have meaning.

As he says farewell to Kate, he smiles at her stating he still has the wet t-shirt picture. She looks on saying “I know. I also know you fantasied about me being naked after Ari killed me.” Tony looks embarrassed now as Kate begins laughing at Tony’s expense. The next scene is in a hospital room. He is standing before his body with all the tubes and wires hooked up to him. Saying how it looks scarier than going through the plague. He looks over and sees Ziva sleeping in a chair. He stands before her, calling out her name. She doesn’t move so he figures on saying what needs to be said.

Without holding back he lets out his heart to her. All of his feeling of love and respect for her including those embarrassing times together. By the time he has finished he feels more relaxed and at easy as if a big weight had been lifted off of him. He glances over at his body and proceeds to almost curse himself for waiting so long to say all those things he just said to Ziva. For living like a spoiled teenager on spring break with women, alcohol and no regrets about tomorrow. Now this is possibly the last chance to fix everything. He feels with this being the second time he almost died while in the hospital, he might never get a third chance to continue the DiNozzo family line. Then he realizes with Ziva being Jewish wonders about what her father might say. But feeling cocky he makes a joke that everyone loves him and proceeded to fade back into his body.

Tony begins waking up. Looking tires and exhausted, he sees Ziva sleeping in a chair by the bed. The nurse enters the room and begins talking to Tony as Ziva wakes up. The doctor comes in and after removing the breathing tube tries to speak but finding it a bit difficult. The doctor advices him to keep quiet until his throat can heal from having the tube inserted into it. Ziva leaves the room happily crying that Tony is OK and begins calling the others as the doctor and nurses clean up Tony and checks to see if everything is OK.

Ziva reenters the room as Tony is smiling but is too week to speak clearly. She thanks him for saving her life and tells him to rest as he holds out his hand. She grabs ahold as they look into each other’s eyes. She tells him about all the events taken place since he was shot. Relieved he presses on her hand as she stops talking. As Tony clearly wants to say something, Ziva moves real close to Tony. As he is speaking into her ear so only she could hear Ziva begins to smile. Scene fades.
