I’m getting too old for this. Being that I stopped listening
to new music coming out since the mid 1990’s. While I still listen to new music
that sounds interesting, I primarily listen to classic rock. And seeing as for
a time I live in Okinawa, I do listen to a lot of Japanese and Korean music.
But I do have my limits.
AKB48 (ages 13 to 16 years old) |
Over the years I encountered great music as I have also experienced
a lot of crappy music. The worst is the studio manufactured groups with the
exception being The Monkeys. At least
they had a desire to be a part of music legacy. Nearly every country has these
types of groups. They look and sound great, make a movie with lots of TV and
magazine exposer then as they get too old for preteens they quickly disappear.
It doesn’t even have to be a group. It can be an individual.
Just look at the Disney or Nickelodeon Network. Nearly all the teenage girls on
these networks have made an album and went on their lip syncing tours. They had
their songs replaced the original music on old or current Disney and
Nickelodeon movies. Few of these individuals and groups have survived while so
many others are forgotten just like New Kids on the Block and the Spice Girls.
The reason I’m venting out like this is the internet story from
a somewhat racist web site called Sankaku Complex. The web site is similar to
the types of gossip newspapers one sees at the checkout lines at grocery stores
here in America. They mainly crater to anything close to anime porn, pro
Japanese or anti anything not Japanese. They recently reported on Noel
Gallagher appearing on a Japanese variety show with the group AKB48. click here for story.
Noel Gallagher comments |
He was taken aback by how young they are (13 to 16 years
old). Nothing wrong with his comments but the website took those comments and
pretty much rewrote everything he had said to make it sound like he’s a racist.
This site has a long history of being extremely negative to Koreans, Chinese,
American and any form of oppression towards the livelihood of Otaku people as
they continually advertise and promote links to porno related web sites. All
the while trying to figure out why so many people hate certain parts of the Japanese
lifestyle that they are promoting: I write sarcastically.
The site seems to really have taken offence to AKB48 being
called a manufactured group. As many of their followers reading a misleading
article began writing some of the most ill-thought of comments. AKB48 is
comprised of preteen girls. As they get too old or unattractive they are
quickly replaced. Many have gone into
prostitution or the porno industry while few have become similar to the Kardashians
by modeling swim suits and sit in front of the TV camera on different variety
shows and smile a lot. Discretion is advised when clicking link to this story
Contest to meet this group require people to buy thousands of
dollars’ worth of their music CD’s just to get enough enclosed tickets to just
shake the group members hands. Sometimes these contest winners will ejaculate
into their own hands so these underage girls will come in contact with it. The
types of people who do this and buy their merchandise are called Otaku. click here for story.
Otaku people, or pedophiles in my opinion, have no real social
life as every form of money they earn goes to buying anime related products.
That’s thousands of dollars of merchandise crammed into a small apartment or
bedroom. They celebrate birthdays of anime characters and engage in sexual
activities in front of a computer monitor. If it wasn’t for these types of
people, AKB48 wouldn’t be as popular as they are now.
The group’s daily
shows at Akihabara are so choreographed and lip synced makes them no different
than the stuff Disney and Nickelodeon or for that matter any record company
churning out these types of entertainment. And as long as they remain popular
for the music executives to rake in the millions of dollars this group will
continue to be around.
Just like so many other groups and individuals that have
come and gone leaves no doubt that AKB48 and others out there now are nothing
more than a blimp on the radar as so many more are ready to take their places. And knowing this makes me glad that I’m older
and wiser in not being caught up in all this fake entertainment.
