In a small town a congressman, running for re-election,
told a story during his speech…..
“There was a father who gave 100 dollars each to his 3 sons
and asked them to go and buy things to completely fill up a room.
The first son bought $100 worth of hay but couldn't fill
the room.
The second son bought $100 worth of cotton but he too couldn't fill the room.
The third son bought a candle for 50 cents: lighting it up,
he completely filled the room with its light.”
The congressman added “I am like the third son. From the
first day I took office, our state has been filled with the bright light of
prosperity”
A voice from the back asked “Where’s the rest of the
money?”
